The girls and I took advantage of the beauty around us and had a picnic in the orchard behind our house. We ate our lunch, read some chapters in Anne of Green Gables, named our picnic spot (just like Anne and Diana would have) "Almond Blossom Way", and the girls collected blossoms from the ground and threw them in each other's hair. :) Did I mention that I loooooove the country?!?!
"Earth's crammed with heaven, and every common bush afire with God, but only he who sees takes off his shoes; the rest sit round it and pluck blackberries." ~Elizabeth Barrett Browning

Spring is here....
There are a few, short weeks in Shafter when it is really beautiful.....and this is it! All of the almond trees are in bloom and it is truly breathtaking!
